UFC Fit Workout Review

The Ultimate Fighting Championships (UFC) comes home with UFC trainer Mike Dolce in a 12-week high-intensity interval training (HIIT) in the comfort of your living room. Is it everything it seems to be? Find out all about it with our UFC Fit Review.

The Ultimate Fighting Championships consistently sell out in Las Vegas. They are known around the world for bringing the best Mixed Martial Artists together and having it out in the arena.

Before UFC, martial artists were usually stuck behind the limits of their chosen discipline. People often wondered which discipline could defeat another discipline. Was it jiu-jitsu or taekwondo?

UFC broke that barrier to become one of the most popular and coveted arenas quickly to fight in, bringing champions from around the world to compete toe-to-toe to find out who was the Ultimate Fighting Champion.

Of the very few people who are able to participate in the UFC arena, even fewer make it.

How do they do it?

How are the UFC opponents trained?

Indeed, people look at the state of their bodies and wonder to themselves what they do to get so ripped.

When you have all day to train in a gym under the watchful eyes of personal trainers, then you too might be able to get a body like that—but not everyone has free time like that. It takes hard work, discipline, and lots and lots of cardio.

Ultimate Fighting Championship Trainer Mike Dolce has Cred!

Mike Dolce is one of the top UFC trainers. He knows the answer to those burning questions. How do they do it? He trains them. He puts them through hell to get from where they were to where they are today.

UFC personally picked Dolce to bring the excruciating workout home for anyone to try.

You might not make it in the UFC championships, but then again you might. It is one helluva workout. Most people who fork over the cash for this exercise program already have a passion for UFC and have an inkling of an idea that it works.

Mike doesn’t just have his fighters doing sprints on the treadmill all day. He has them doing high-intensity endurance workouts with the goal that each day you go a little bit longer.

UFC fighters depend on Dolce to prepare them for the fight of their lives. He is not an easy trainer to keep up with, but then again if getting fit were easy, everyone would already be there.

Dolce has his own success story to go along with his training exercises. He lost 180 pounds doing exactly what he teaches. He is his own best testimonial that it works. Once you start seeing results for yourself, the only one that can tell you anything about the effectiveness of it all is you.

What to Expect/How It Works

This workout uses high-intensity interval training. The package comes with 12 different workouts to be spread out over 12 weeks.

You’ll be training under the direction of one of the best MMA trainers in the world, so if that doesn’t appeal to you, then I suggest looking elsewhere.

Each of the 12 UFC workout DVDs comprise each of the 12 exercises:

  • Power Punch
  • Power Pull
  • Plyo Shred
  • Fat Fighter
  • Striker Strength
  • Grapple Strength
  • Ultimate Fit Challenger
  • Ultimate Fit Champion
  • Cardio Cross Train
  • Ab Assassin
  • Ultimate Stretch Flex
  • Shark Attack.

These are the same workouts used in various MMA gyms, including the ones that you see popping up all around the country called UFC gyms.

When you’re getting ready to begin in your living room, prepare to be intimidated!!!

This is exactly how MMA fighters are trained.

You’ll see men and women who are in way better shape than you perform the exercises better than you. One of the marks of an athlete—one of the things that make competitive sports so entertaining—is seeing others overcome mental and physical obstacles in their effort to become better, faster, stronger and ultimately the best at what they do.

Expect nothing less from this type of workout.

Each day, you won’t be training any more than 30 – 40 minutes, but your heart rate will go up fast and you’ll be expected to keep it there.

You may even think this isn’t for the beginner. If you think you’re not ready for this, challenge the thought. You’ll be taught how to modify the exercises for your level of cardiovascular fitness so that you won’t be burned out in the first session of your UFC Fit workout.

Most people aren’t as fit as Dolce is—or any of the UFC fighters for that matter—and you’re not expected to be. If you were, then this wouldn’t be a product to begin with.

It is designed so you can better yourself and see results in as little as 12 weeks.

You’ll get more than the MMA workout DVDs. You’ll get a nutrition manual as well. You’re only as good as the food you eat—garbage in, garbage out. If you want to step up your game—if you’re serious about getting a good workout, then you

need to change everyday ordinary eating habits.

This guide will give you everything you need to start eating better to get the most of your UFC workouts.

What Others Have Said

If you have a discerning eye, then you’ll be like most people who do their research. While positive reviews have their place, it’s the negative reviews that are the most objective. If the worst thing people have to say about the workout is it got damaged during shipping, then they’re not telling me anything bad about the workout itself.

Testimonials work so well because people learn from the experiences of others. As of right now, Amazon users have posted 64 reviews, of which 87% gave it either a four or five-star rating. Every single negative review was about the quality of the DVDs, which the company promptly replaces. The most critical review thought the workout was great, but the DVDs were of poor quality. Another more recent review stated UFC changed the company that made their DVDs.

The most important take away was that every single review, positive or negative, loved the workout. Here are a few examples:

Good workout. All the discs worked well for me. I have done P90X, P90X3, Tapout 1 and 2. This workout routine reminds me of a cross between P90X3 and Tapout XT2. Provides great strength and endurance exercises, not as fast cardio paced as Tapout. Great addition to my workout programs. By Diane May 11, 2015
UFC Fit combines MMA, bodyweight, and weight training. This set has a lot of unique moves. The vendor is also great. I had a problem with one of my DVDs, and they replaced it promptly. By Helen Stephenson March 20, 2015
What a great workout! So much variety and different paces with a girl modifying for the beginner or someone with health issues. There are groups of regular people also working out and the extreme people in the back row, so there is always someone to follow for your workout needs. I had Tap Extreme and loved it, but this one is better with more DVDs and the modified versions which I love. By C. TERRELL "shamrockterrell" February 28, 2015

What to Watch Out For

There is very little in the way of workout tools required with this one. You need either two sets of dumbbells, or an adjustable set of dumbbells. They don’t tell you how heavy they need to be—just a lighter set and a heavier set. Even 10lb dumbbells seem heavy after an intense workout. The only other thing you need is an exercise mat.

Check your DVD's as soon as they arrive. As stated earlier some people have received DVDs that were scratched, skipping, or otherwise unusable. But those who have had issues received prompt replacements. When you get the DVDs, play each one through once just to check. Nothing is more frustrating than being in week five of the workout and finding out you need a replacement DVD.

Pace yourself. You’re not expected to be in the best workout shape of your life when you try this. While this will get you there, an assistant UFC trainer will teach you how to modify each exercise to a lighter level.

Don’t hurt yourself. That’s not the point of this or any other workout program. Know your limits, and abide by them.

Buying Advice

The official UFC Fit website used to sell their workout direct from the site, but they no longer do that. The "buy" button will take you to Amazon.

As it turns out, the best price was always on Amazon anyway! You can check it here: UFC Fit on Amazon.

If you regularly shop on Amazon, you know they do have a world-class customer support team. They set the industry standard in customer service—other companies use them as examples of how to treat customers. So if you do happen to have some kind of issue with your purchase, Amazon will have your back and make sure you eventually get what you paid for - or a refund.

If you want to sit on the couch all day - be my guest. But if you’re anything like me, then you know that a ripped body is a trophy that is earned, not given.

The workouts in this DVD set produce real results, but like any exercise program, you’ll only get out of it what you put into it.

So if you are ready to do the work - stop wasting time and just go for it now. Buy UFC Fit on Amazon)
